How to Go Live on Instagram in 3 Steps
Open the Instagram app > swipe right to access the camera > scroll the bottom carousel to LIVE > tap the Title button on the left to name your stream > tap the large Live button to start broadcasting.

How to launch a private rehearsal:

- When ready, end the practice stream and switch back to Public.

- On your computer, open a browser and log in to instagram.com.

- In OBS Studio, go to Settings > Stream > Service: Custom > paste the URL and Stream Key.
- Set OBS Canvas resolution to 1080 × 1920 (9:16 vertical) at 30 or 60 fps.
- Click Start Streaming in OBS, then return to your browser and click Go Live.

- Instagram Badges: Eligible creators can turn on Badges, allowing viewers to purchase hearts ($0.99 to $4.99) that highlight their comments and unlock custom creator badge icons.
- Assigning a Live Moderator: Tap the three dots on a trusted viewer's comment and select "Add as moderator". They can hide offensive comments, turn off commenting, or kick trolls out of your stream while you focus on talking.
- Pinned Comments: Tap your own comment or a helpful viewer comment and tap Pin Comment so it stays sticky at the bottom for all new viewers entering the room.
Saving & Repurposing Your Live Recording
When you end the broadcast:
- Tap Download video immediately to save the raw broadcast file to your phone.
- If you forget to download, don't worry: your video is stored in Live Archive (accessible in Settings > Archive) for 30 days.

How to Use the Broadcast on Instagram Live
Swipe Right to In-App Camera
On your Instagram feed, swipe right or tap the (+) create button and scroll the bottom mode selector to "Live".
Select Audience / Practice Mode
Tap the audience eye icon on the left to test in "Practice" mode first, or keep "Public" to broadcast to followers.
Add Title & Broadcast
Add an engaging topic title, tap the round Live button, and wait for the 3-2-1 countdown to go on air.
